Whole-house interior design, from first idea to final styling

Our full interior design service takes a London home from brief to finished, styled rooms. We plan the layout, design every room, specify and source everything, draw the joinery, co-ordinate the trades and visit site regularly — so you get a calm, considered home without managing hundreds of decisions yourself.

Why it’s worth it

What full interior design gives you

In short: Full-service interior design is an end-to-end service where one designer leads the concept, detailed design, procurement and delivery of a home renovation or refurbishment.

  • Fewer costly mistakes

We co-ordinate the process with clarity and experience, so expensive, permanent decisions are made once and made right.

  • Your time back

Our clients are time-poor with high standards. We lead the process, streamline decisions and take items off the never-ending to-do list.

  • Trusted trades

We recommend tradespeople and makers we have worked with for years, and give them clear guidelines to deliver the design.

  • A home that is unmistakably yours

No pre-determined blueprint. We design around how you live, mixing high and low, new and treasured pieces.

The process

How it works, step by step

  1. 01

    Getting to know you

A paid initial consultation to talk through your ideas, inspiration and goals, followed by a detailed brief and an estimate proposal covering budget, time and design fee.

  2. 02

    Design direction

Mood boards, sketches and concept presentations set the direction. Your feedback shapes each round until the concept feels right.

  3. 03

    Detailed design

Supplier and trade meetings, space planning, material and fabric samples, a fully itemised FF&E sourcing list and detailed drawings — plans, elevations and, where useful, 3D visuals.

  4. 04

    Delivery

Project co-ordination, regular site visits, procurement, deliveries and installation — then final styling and the reveal.

“Lisa was an absolute dream to work with from start to finish and we cannot recommend her highly enough — hiring Born & Bred was by far the best decision we made in our whole house renovation.”

Questions

Full Interior Design: FAQs

More answers on our FAQ page

How much does full interior design cost in London?

Every project is priced individually. After your initial consultation we prepare an estimate proposal covering budget, timescale and design fee for the next stage, so you see the full picture before committing. We always present a range of price options for furniture and finishes.

Do I need an interior designer if I already have an architect?

Often, yes. Architects shape the structure; we shape how it feels and functions day to day — layouts, joinery, lighting, colour, furniture and styling. Several of our clients came to us after a renovation that worked structurally but felt clinical or lacked personality.

Are you a building contractor?

No. We provide interior design services and co-ordinate trades on your behalf. You contract third-party suppliers directly, and we manage communication, timelines and design intent with them, including regular site visits so the design is built as planned.

Can you work with furniture we already own?

Yes. Many of our best rooms combine new pieces with family heirlooms, vintage finds and items clients already love. We design around what matters to you rather than starting from a blank page you didn’t ask for.

Where do you work?

Across London — from Muswell Hill, Crouch End and Dartmouth Park to Notting Hill, South Kensington, Bayswater and Brixton — and into Harrow and Essex. Project co-ordination depends on location and is confirmed when we agree the scope.
