Who we are
Born & Bred Studio (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and in the course of providing our interior design services. Contact us at info@bornandbredstudio.com, +44 7732 605003, or 85 Great Portland St, London W1W 7LT.
What we collect and why
- Enquiries — when you use our contact form or email us we receive your name, email address and anything you choose to share (phone, postcode, project details). We use it to reply and to prepare for a consultation. Lawful basis: steps prior to entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to you.
- Bookings — consultations are booked through Calendly, which collects your name, email and booking details and sends confirmation emails. Lawful basis: contract.
- Clients — when we work together we hold contact details, property details, design files, invoices and correspondence. Lawful basis: contract and legal obligations (for example, accounting records).
- Newsletter — only if you opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. Lawful basis: consent.
Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf: our form service (to deliver website enquiries by email), Calendly (bookings), our email provider and our accounting software. Where you engage tradespeople through us, we share the contact and property details they need to quote for and carry out the work, with your agreement. Some providers may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
Cookies and embedded content
This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. A single item is stored in your browser to remember that you have seen our cookie notice. The Google map and Calendly booking calendar only load when you choose to open them, and those services may then set their own cookies. See our cookie notice.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within 24 months. Client records are kept for six years after the end of a project to meet accounting and legal requirements, then securely deleted.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email info@bornandbredstudio.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including password-protected systems and limiting access to people who need it.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
